mid Wales Treberfedd farm

Treberfedd Farm lies at the heart of west Wales, smothered in countryside and delightful charm. I was really excited to go and use this cracking little eco lodge and explore the neighbouring countryside. We decided to head this way for a weekend retreat overlooking the Aeron valley, curled up in our dog friendly digs which offered us everything and more. If you are looking for a dog friendly break that's perfect for some exPAWing, then this is it.

I wanted to go paddle boarding down the river Teifi but sadly the river was bursting it's banks and not the safest for paddle boarding with your pooch, but we did a lovely little winter walk along its banks. We started off at Llechryd and walked to the National Trust Cigerran castle ruins. We enjoyed having a little look around the grounds and drinking our hot tea from our Thermos before heading to a local pub for some mulled wine and pork scratchings.

We also visited Llangrannog beach which was very quiet in the winter but perfect for us. We like it not being too touristy so Pepper can run loose and we can enjoy a paddle without knocking into someone's lilo.

Despite this being a short weekend for us it was perfect for our winter retreat. It was so good, we are now planning our summer one too...
